Domestic Job Quote

For work for a homeowner, tenant or other private customer. Your customer signs to accept the quote, with the 14-day right to cancel the law gives them.

Who it's for

For decorators, builders, plumbers, electricians, gardeners and other trades quoting for work at someone's home. If your customer is a business, such as a shop, office or letting agent, use the Commercial Job Quote instead.

What it covers

  • The job address, the work to be done, a start date and an estimated duration
  • The price, VAT and when payment is due, with an optional deposit
  • The customer's 14-day right to cancel, with the cancellation form
  • Cancelling later, materials, an optional workmanship guarantee, and complaints

What you fill in

  • Your business details and the customer's
  • A quote reference (optional) and the job address
  • A description of the work, the start date and how long it should take
  • The price, and whether it includes VAT
  • When payment is due: on completion, within 7, 14 or 30 days, in full up front, or half and half
  • Governing law: England and Wales, Scotland or Northern Ireland

  4. Keep the proofEveryone gets the signed PDF. Every view and signature goes into a tamper-evident audit trail, and you can generate an evidence package and check the document at agreevia.co.uk/verify.
