How to delete your account

In the app (fastest)

  1. Open the AgreeVia app and sign in.
  2. Go to Settings.
  3. Tap Delete Account.
  4. Confirm when prompted — deletion is immediate and can't be undone.

Without the app, or if you can't sign in

Email [email protected] from the address on your account, with the subject "Delete my account". We'll verify it's you and complete the deletion, normally well within 30 days.

Deleted straight away

  • Your login credentials.
  • Your profile — name, email, phone number, and photo.
  • Draft and unsent documents that only involve you.
  • Your personal chat with yourself.
  • The personal identifiers on your subscription record.

What we keep, and why

  • Completed documents and their audit trail — kept to meet our legal obligations and so a document can still be established, exercised or defended as evidence if it's challenged.
  • The record that you accepted our Terms and Privacy Policy at the time a document you were party to was completed — kept for the same reason.
  • Messages in a chat that contains a completed document, as part of that document's evidence.
Why a completed document can't be partly scrubbed

A completed document's audit trail is a linked, tamper-evident ledger — each entry is sealed against the one before it. Removing your entries alone would break the record's verifiability for the other party, who relied on it to know the document was properly signed. So a completed document and its trail are kept, or purged, as one unit, not scrubbed person by person.

Documents you created that nobody signed are deleted outright, along with their event history, provided nobody else is a subject of them. If your name appears on a document that was signed, we remove you from the ownership record — the document stays, but it's no longer linked to your account. Your name as it appears inside the document, and in its audit trail, remains, because that's what the other parties signed.
